Our launch coverage
This pilot publishes 159 useful named records in 69 selected UK areas. 137 records contain an explicit source statement for self-service. It is not complete national coverage and it does not establish current machine availability.
OpenStreetMap
Place discovery and attributed source fields © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence. Download the normalised pilot database and source register. The derived place database is offered under ODbL; site editorial copy and illustrations are separate.
Field-level evidence
Each listing links to its source record. Additional operator facts retain their own source and observation date. “Self-service confirmed” means a reviewed published operator statement or a matched official kiosk record supports self-service. Community-only map tags are labelled separately and stay outside the confirmed filter. Confirmation does not mean a personal visit or live availability check. “Not confirmed” means the available source does not establish that fact.
Dates and limitations
Imported timestamps record data acquisition. Source timestamps record the underlying change where supplied. Operator verification remains unconfirmed unless documented. Addresses and coordinates may be incomplete or stale; opening times can differ on holidays. A feed check cannot confirm that a site is trading.
How coverage grows
Unclear or insufficient records stay in a private review queue. Expansion needs a meaningful named place, sourced location and useful details. We do not create empty town pages to capture searches.
Credits
Original Laundry Visit vector illustrations and icons were created for this site. No facility photographs, ratings or reviews are used. Rob’s authorised portrait is reused from his portfolio. Care meanings are paraphrased from cited sources; the symbol tool uses text descriptions rather than reproducing licensed GINETEX artwork.
